Please go to our TBOW Yearly Calendar Page for more details!
We apologize for the lack of updates this year on the blog. A lot of good things are going on behind the scenes with the Team-Work of Donations and our Faithful Bolivian Well Driller; As well as our group of volunteers in Kenya, Africa!
In our post at the beginning of the year we mentioned the pleasure of distributing Sawyer Water Filters to those in need in the slums of Kenya, Africa. The great thing about these filters is they can last 10+ years if properly maintained and remove:
Bacteria, Protozoa, Cysts, and Microplastics! One filter can also filter 170 Gallons a day!!! They are great for providing plenty of water for families. It is common for people in these slums to contract Cholera as I am told sometimes the public water lines somehow mix with the sewer lines. And as you can see in a photo below some people apparently use the water from the filthy run offs.
Families happily receive the Sawyer bucket filters. |
